The Opo Upside Scholar Program is part of Opo Coffee’s mission to use specialty coffee to make a positive impact in people’s lives throughout the world. We seek to award deserving individuals with professional education through the Specialty Coffee Association’s Coffee Skills Program, as well as community and coaching as part of an Upside Scholar cohort.

ScholarshipBenefits

All Upside Scholars receive:

- - SCA Coffee Skills courses taken from Authorized SCA Trainers in the Opo Training Lab. All course registration fees, AST fees, materials and supplies are included.
  - One-on-one coaching and mentorship sessions with experienced industry professionals, to help guide Upside Scholars in their career in specialty coffee
  - 1 year subscription to Barista Magazine
  - Created Co. drinkware

Positivity Scholars and Honor Scholars also receive:

- - Individual Barista Membership in the SCA, which includes complimentary membership in the Barista Guild
  - La Marzocco Solo tamper/distributor & LM milk steaming pitcher
  - Espresso Parts milk steaming pitcher
  - Espresso Parts Barista Basics electric kettle (Honor Scholars only)
